STORY
Forced to leave Mexico after being relentlessly pursued by a Detective on a personal mission, Gabriel (played by David Field) devises a plan to reinvent himself in California. He engages the help of a self destructive single mother, Becky (played by Angelica Amor).
Gabriel finds himself in a new country with a new life but can he keep his past from catching up with him? Hunted now by FBI Special Agents Royce (played by Robert Wilson) and Powell (played by Dash Pomerantz), Gabriel manages to stay a step ahead of his pursuers until he crosses paths with Chechen crime boss Oleg Shevko (played by Phil La Rouche) and his wife Oksana (played by Silvana Gargione).
False Pretenses follows Gabriel's desperate attempts to escape his tormented past in a world destined to make him pay for his sins.

Silvana Gargione

Silvana is a Meisner - trained actor and comedic improvisor. Recent additional credits include Farts in Church (Webseries), Live Rude Girls (Second City MainStage ), Addicted To You (indie Feature) and Hot Tin Roof (performing in Comedy Festivals nationwide). An Emerson College alumni, she is originally from New Jersey.

Robert L. She has been seen across the country starring in top LORT A theater houses like STC (Shakespeare Theater Company of Washington DC), as well as many off broadway shows in New York City. She has been seen in multiple national commercials, most recently for Mirena and Subway.

Phil has held many jobs including carpenter, repo-man and deckhand in Alaska.

Christian is a well-established actor having started his career under the same director as this film, Michael Ensor. Christian has many film and TV credits including Twin Peaks, Angie Tribeca and Marvel's Runaways to name a few.
On the big screen he starred alongside Jack Black and Kyle Maclachlin in The House with a Clock in it's walls in theaters September 2018.
Christian heads a charity called 'Will Work for Change' which helps in fulfilling the needs of others in which the only donation he asks for is that you be good and kind to others.

Edward is an international award-winning composer, producer and sound designer who has worked on over 100 films, television stage productions and musicals, including the iconic musical animated French TV series 'Kiri le Clown'. He moved from Paris to Los Angeles in 2007. Edward composed, orchestrated, recorded and produced the original score for False Pretenses.
